MAKE THE SCIENCE WORK FOR YOU.

One of TAI Longevity & Aesthetics' goals is to give patients another option to choose rather than surgery. One that can be optimal for your well-being; whether physically, mentally, or monetarily. Let us demonstrate how Wharton’s jelly for Connective Tissue Supplementation can be used to repair or replace damaged tissue with new healthy connective tissue.

ABOUT WHARTON'S JELLY

Wharton’s Jelly (WJ) was first characterized in 1656 by Thomas Wharton. With significant advancements in regenerative medicine over the past decade, scientific interest in this specialized extracellular matrix has increased considerably. Wharton’s Jelly is a gelatinous connective tissue located within the umbilical cord, positioned between the umbilical blood vessels and the amniotic epithelium, and extending along the entire length of the cord. Its primary functions include mechanical cushioning, structural support, and protection of the umbilical vasculature.

This specialized connective tissue is rich in extracellular matrix components, including collagen types I, III, and V, as well as elastin and fibronectin. In addition to providing mechanical cushioning and structural support to the umbilical cord, Wharton’s Jelly serves as a natural reservoir of long-chain hyaluronic acid along with a diverse array of cytokines and growth factors. Placental-derived tissues have been described as relatively “immune privileged,” as they typically elicit minimal immune response, thereby reducing the likelihood of adverse immunologic reactions.

ADVANTAGES OF WHARTON'S JELLY

CONNECTIVE TISSUE SUPPLEMENTATION

Connective Tissue Supplementation is the practice of simply replacing missing or damaged tissue in the body with new, healthy, connective tissue.

PAIN IS A SYMPTOM OF AN UNDERLYING PROBLEM OR INJURY
IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE
When we experience pain, our body sends a message that something is wrong. Pain is merely a symptom of an underlying injury. Using steroids or opiates alone to address pain caused by injury masks the issue instead of addressing the root cause.

With connective tissue supplementation, we have an opportunity to address the problem at its source by inserting new, viable connective tissue ECM directly to the site of the breakdown, or defect (via syringe). Your body can then use the collagenic superstructure from the newly transplanted Wharton’s jelly as building blocks to fill voids or defects in cartilage beds or other soft tissues.

KNEES
There is hope for those dealing with damaged tissue in the knee.

One of TAI's goals is to give patients with articular cartilage defects more options in their quest to restore their health. Options exist for those addressing damaged tissue involving attachment points or surrounding soft tissue as well. Let TAI Longevity demonstrate how Wharton’s jelly for Connective Tissue Supplementation can be used to repair or replace the damaged tissue with new healthy connective tissue.

What is the best option for knee degeneration?

Wharton’s jelly allografts consist of donated human umbilical cord tissue that has been disassociated, suspended in saline, and cryopreserved. Intended for homologous use only, their main function is to provide cushioning and structural support and replace missing or damaged tissue in the patient when applied directly to the defect, or injured area. The allografts are applied via syringe and are typically used in ligament, muscle, or cartilage tears.
